Eat your muesli! If you've never tried this granola-like breakfast treat, this is a great recipe. Lots of bran and oats and raisins and nuts, with just enough brown sugar to add a bit of sweetness. Serve as is with soy milk, or plop the bowl in the microwave and eat it warm.

This is a very good salsa recipe. Simple ingredients are boiled and blended to created a flavorful, spicy mixture that's great with tortilla chips and on Mexican-style foods. The amounts of onions and jalapenos may be varied; canned crushed tomatoes may be substituted for fresh.
This creamy oatmeal is perfect for those cozy winter mornings with a good cup of coffee. Or serve it to your kids with some hot chocolate. Not too sweet, not too bland, and it has fresh fruit!

This is the 'salsa de tomatillo' that I grew up with. It can be used as a sauce for grilled chicken, fish or shrimp, as the basis for green chilaquiles (pour over tortilla chips, shredded cooked chicken and shredded Monterey Jack, then heat under the broiler), and as a dipping sauce for chips. Delicioso!
This barley risotto is delicious and charming. It makes a nice side dish for steak or roasted meats. Especially when you want to serve something a little different.
You'll be tempted to serve sweet potatoes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. These are pretty special. Sliced potatoes are doused with sugar, bourbon, vanilla and butter and then baked until the sauce is absorbed and the sweet potatoes crusty and brown.
There are no canned soups in this masterpiece. This is my Grandma's recipe that she gave me when I got married. Pork chops are baked then served with a rich mushroom sauce. It takes a little bit of work, but is great for a special dinner - my husband loves it!
